Defense: Building a Play

Building plays in Just Play is very easy and you have the flexibility to make your playbook as simple or as complex as you'd like.

Note: The playbook is used for full play calls. If you are trying to just put in your fronts, stunt/blitz or coverages, you will want to use Terminology.

Building a Play

1. Click on the Playbook from your Defense sections in the side navigation.

Your playbook can be sorted in a variety of ways based on our default terminology types. This is simply just filtering the play calls associated with the front, stunt, coverage, concept, opponent formation, play call.

2. Click the "Add New Play" button in the top right corner of the Playbook page.

3. Select the Package for your play.

Fill out the play details and input terminology tags for the play.

4. Click "Save"
once you have completed inputting information into the form.

You now have a new play in your system and you can begin layering content into it. You have tabs that will allow you to add the following to any play:

  • Diagrams
  • Video
  • Support files
  • Assignments

Tip: You can also copy any play so that you do not have to start from scratch every time you need to add a new play to your system. To do this, use the Copy Play button in the top right corner of the play you wish to copy.
