Messaging Overview

Communication is a big part of the Just Play system and we give you three powerful ways to send messages to your staff and players. Watch the video below for an overview.

Note: The video below shows a football system but the messaging process is the same for your Just Play Basketball account.

In-App Messages
In-App Messages can be used to send players messages directly to their player app. To create a new message, follow these steps.

Step 1) Click on the "New Message" button in the top right corner of the In-App Messages page.

Step 2) Complete the form.

The form you will see looks very similar to an email. You are able to send messages to groups or individuals. You can also designate someone from your staff to be the point of contact for the message using the "Reply To" field.

Step 3) Designate notifications and click "Send".

After you have completed the form (and added an attachment if needed), designate whether you want to notify your players via text or email using the check boxes at the bottom of the form. Click "Send" and this message will be delivered to all players and staff that were included in the "To" fields.

Text Messages
It is very easy to send text messages to groups and individuals using Just Play.

Step 1) Click on the Text Messages button in the Messaging section and then click the "New Message" button.

Step 2) Complete the form.

Similar to In-App Messages, you can designate a point of contact on your staff using the "Reply To" field. Type your message and click "Send" and this text message will be delivered to all players and staff that were included in the "To" field.

Ask Coach Messages
This section of your Messaging allows you to monitor and respond to players' questions from the "Ask Coach" feature of the player app.

When you click on this page, you will see questions asked directly to you at the top, along with all questions asked in the system below.

To reply to an "Ask Coach" message, follow these steps.

Step 1) Click on a question to access the response form. You will see that the "To", "Subject", and "Reply To" fields are automatically filled out in your message.

Step 2) Complete the form.

You can add additional players to the discussion, attach files, and choose whether or not you want to notify players via text or email. Click "Send" and this message will be delivered to all players and staff that were included in the "To" fields.
